Nepal is a country with unique people, diverse cultures, and fascinating traditions. The cultures and traditions of Nepal vary from one part of the country to the other. To every country, culture has a different meaning and various aspects. To Nepal, religion plays an important role in everyday life. For Celebrating festivals with joy food also need to a prominent factor. The Nepalese culture has a major glimpse of Hinduism and Buddhism. Nepalese culture is the combination of different ethnic, social, and tribal communities that have different attitudes. The diverse culture is expressed in many forms as music, dance, art and crafts, and local folktales. The other forms of diversity include language, philosophy, food, festivals, and way of celebration.

The parliament declared Nepal a secular country on 18th May 2006. The religions prominent in Nepal are Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism, Bon, ancestor worship, and animism. However, the majority of Nepal practices Hinduism or Buddhism. Both the Hindu and Buddhists worship Lord Buddha. Vedic gods are also worshipped by the Hindus of Nepal. People worship Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Mahadevi, Mahakali, Lord Ganesh, Bhagabati, Ishwari, Saraswati, and Lord Krishna. People read various Vedas and holy Hindu scriptures in Nepal. Cows are considered as Universal Mother and slaughtering is illegal.

Nepali food has different tastes in different parts of the country influenced by the cultures of two countries, India and Tibet. The unique cuisine of Newar and Thakalis people is a center of attraction. Nepali meal consists of lentil soup, boiled rice, flatbread, boiled flour, curried vegetables with pickle. Momos are the most popular snacks of the locals.

The most popular festivals include Dashain, Haritalika Teez, Jansmastmi, Holi, Maha Shivratri, Losar, Chhath, Buddha JayantiRopain FestivalJanai PurnimaBisket JatraGai JatraGhode Jatra, and Indra Jatra. Fascinating festivals with diverse culture makes Nepal a unique and beautiful nation.

Nepal has a population of nearly 29,000,000 people following their ethnicity, religion, and faith. Nepal gives an incredible insight into its diversity and Himalayan culture through its blessed natural beauty and varieties. Various temples are architectured within the country having their importance. Besides all these, you will be able to experience variance from rural areas to cities in Nepal.
